Seaside Family House

I enjoyed looking at this beach house which is in (and on the cover of) the latest Inside Out magazine (November/December 2013). The house was decorated as a Christmas feature, however I liked looking at it as it would be on a daily basis - a relaxed and stylish seaside family home. See more here.

Yellows Photography

Spotted on the Est magazine Daily today, I came across the work of Yellows Photography - the Danish photography studio of Mikkel Rahr Mortensen, along with stylist Gitte Kjaer. I was particularly drawn to these images for their client, Lightyears, a Danish lighting company - it is beautifully styled with great combinations of materials and colours.

White and Simple at Juliette Hogan SS13

Last week New Zealand fashion label, Juliette Hogan hosted a breakfast to present their SS13 collection to the media. It was located at their new work room space and they collaborated with great products to make the event so stylish and delicious.

292 - Whites

I am making the most of 292 before the builders take over on the 18th and start pulling the building to bits.
First action - choose a white interior paint. I am keeping the interior colour scheme simple and using the same white throughout. I tried some paint samples on a wall and I'm thinking a brighter white. It looks like the top right and bottom left are promising. What do you think?

New Work - Re-upholstering

Re-upholstering is such a great way to make old furniture look new again. Look at this lovely seat that was looking worse for wear and the apricot ribbed velvet competes with the warm timber.
We recovered this seat with a lovely almond cream velvet and all of the sudden the timber pops out and you notice the details more, don't you? We added beautiful vintage style lace cushions to finish it off. Looks so classy.
